The short version

BurstPick processes your photos entirely on your local machine. We do not collect, transmit, or store your photos, metadata, or personal data. Your files never leave your hard drive.

The app

• License validation: When you activate a license key, we verify it with our licensing server. This transmits only the license key and a machine identifier.
• Update checks: The app periodically checks for new versions. This transmits only your current version number.
• No analytics or telemetry: The app itself contains no analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind. It does not report what you score, pick, reject, or how you use it.

This website

burstpick.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and referrers, so we can tell which pages people actually find useful. It is deliberately the least invasive option available:

• No cookies and nothing written to your browser's storage.
• No cross-site tracking and no advertising profile. You are not followed to any other site, and nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
• No fingerprinting and no identifier that persists between visits, so visits cannot be linked back to an individual.
• Aggregate only: page URL, referrer, approximate country, and general device type. We cannot tell who you are from any of it.

This applies to the website only. Installing and using the app involves no such measurement.

What we do NOT collect

• Your photos, thumbnails, or image data
• EXIF metadata or camera information
• File names, folder paths, or directory structure
• Scoring results or culling decisions
• How you use the app, which features you open, or how often you run it
